It is yet another morning of football.
This time, it was AC Milan vs Manchester United.
Mood, somehow similar and there were tears involved once again.
Final Score of 2nd Leg: AC Milan 3-0 Manchester United
Total Aggregate: AC Milan 5-3 Manchester United
So it's goodbye Quadruple to Chelsea as well as Treble to Manchester United!
Ironically, Liverpool is the only English club left in the UCL.
They are lucky, no injuries, no suspensions.
But whatever it is, I know AC Milan will take revenge on them and win them in the Finals!
Yes, so come on AC Milan! (:
And again, ANYONE BUT FUCKING LIVERPOOL!
Kaka slotted the ball into the net at the 11th minute. It was poor defending by Manchester United as Gary Neville (C) and Rio Ferdinand were missed. The central only left Vidic who was rushed back from injuries and urm, Mr Wes Brown. Well, to be fair, Brown played a fairly well game. He tackled quite accurately on a couple of occasions so some credits to him.
All right, AC Milan first since they were the winners and the finalists for the 3rd time in 5 years.
As I've mentioned, Kaka scored the first goal so that brought the aggregate to 3-3 but that was enough to bring AC Milan to the finals due to the away goal rule. Despite that, AC Milan did not stop attacking and that showed how terrible the Man United players were playing.
A very bad clearance from Heinze which caused the second goal. It was as good as giving AC the goal, I thought. Heinze passed the ball to Vidic who was inside the penalty box with one AC player charging at him. With such close contact, it was hardly possible to clear the ball as far away as he had wanted. After a brawl of scrambles, Seedorf took the opportunity and capitalized and scored at the 33rd. The score was 2-0. Man United needed two goals to advance, one goal would not see them through either.
Back after half-time, with AC leading by two, Man United players looked slightly dejected. They displayed lousy football and that standard was far from their usual. At the 80th minute, their sloppiness had to pay a prize which was to concede their third goal by Gilardino. Where were the defenders? No where in sight, really.
I think the formation of Man United was 4-5-1.
Back four: O'shea, Brown, Vidic, Heinze
Midfield five: Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Fletcher
Forward: Rooney
With such a formation, the ball was hardly able to move to the front. Mr Cristiano Ronaldo was very much off-form or was it because the AC defence was simply too strong? Without Maldini even, AC rocked the whole stadium! Oh, and Ronaldo got booked for a bad tackle when the game was ending. Out of frustration, perhaps? He would be banned for the next game but there's no more next game.
Rooney was very much a passer-by. It is quite obvious that he's struggling at the front all alone. Moreover, Ronaldo had no chance to bring the ball forward to him. No sparks from these two just now which was really bad for the team.
As always and nothing new, Michael Carrick was a passer-by. Eh, actually not, he appeared on the screen a couple of times but only because of his sloppiness and bad passes. However, he was quite lucky as to get away with most of them. Lucky? But just not enough.
Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs seemed to be in their own world? Haha, the Oldies' World? Anyway, bad game for them also! They did not look as though they're experienced players at all but then again, is it because the AC players were too good, that good? Perhaps?
When the game ended, the whistle was blown, I cried. Shit, why the hell did I cry? Hello, Man United lost, cry for what? So I suspect I'm secretly a Manchester United fan, just that I don't know. Hahaha. Uh, which means if either side wins the FA Cup, I would feel okay? Eh, no no, still Chelsea all the way, hohoho! Right. Well, or maybe it's cause I was too happy as AC had won. Ultimately, I'll go with the first reason. It seems more logical. The disappointment on Rooney's face, oh my, that kind of hurts! Seeing Kaka and all cheer, I had no feelings.
All right, that's not the point. Now that Chelsea and Manchester United are out, SURPRISINGLY, we can only pin hopes on AC Milan to thrash Liverpool! And for these two English clubs, they've only the FA Cup to vie for a Double since I really think that Chelsea will not win the EPL title. You know, the two draws were as good as giving Man United the title. Alex Ferguson better thank Jose Mourinho! HAHA.
And and and, I must specify again and again that Liverpool was pure lucky to enter the finals, okay! They've so few games to play. No FA Cup, no need to fight for the EPL title but only the UCL games. Damn them. And they have the full squad available so they are LUCKY! DAMN LIVERPOOL!
So now,
Come on, AC Milan!
Come on, Kaka!
Come on, Gilardino!
Come on, Dida!
(Haha, I only know these few names)
23rd May 2007, see them at Athens!
